About NMCRR

Who We Are

The New Mexico Coalition for Recovery Residences (NMCRR) is a new statewide initiative working to strengthen quality standards, certification, and support for recovery housing. Aligned with the National Alliance for Recovery Residences (NARR) and the American Society for Addiction Medicine (ASAM) criteria, NMCRR will provide oversight and resources to ensure safe, ethical, and supportive environments for individuals in recovery. The coalition will partner with people in recovery, recovery residence operators, clinical service providers, policymakers, and communities to expand access to housing that fosters stability and long-term recovery. Through technical assistance, certification, and advocacy, NMCRR will help operators to develop an equitable and sustainable recovery housing system that reflects New Mexico’s cultural strengths and addresses the needs of diverse communities.
